Nana's Frozen Custard

http://nanasfrozencustard.com/

Nana's Frozen Custard is where you get ice cream. Nana's has so many ice creams that you would like to try. Some of the ice creams are named after local places.

You can have a banana split like I did or a root beer float like my Dad. Next time, I want to try a root beer float.

My brother got the Chester Frosty like always. Now he said "Chester Frosty!" just hearing about it. In the Chester Frosty, there are gummy rings and gummy bears in the blue ice cream. There is brown sugar for the sand (Chester Frost is a local park on the lake with a beach).

My mom had the Salty Grit. It is vanilla with pretzels and butterscotch. She said it is okay but not her favorite. The mix of the sweet and salty was okay, say 50 50.

The root beer float was BIG! He said it was awesome! Dad liked that they had IBC root beer and he also liked that it had vanilla ice cream.

For me, it was a banana split! I loved it! It was so nice and tender and good. There was a banana, cherry, vanilla, and chocolate custard. I love that whipped creme! Next I'll have the root beer float and the next trip after that, I will have the Salty Grit. (he's just has to behave to earn the trips now! Mom)

Broad Street Grille

It was a Sunday morning when we went to Broad Street Grille for brunch. I had a cheese roll (blintz--mom) with wild berry sauce. I had orange juice to drink. I also ate some eggs and bacon. Last, I had a strawberry yogurt.

For dessert, my brother and I shared a plate of cookies and brownies. I loved my dessert. I like to go there and eat all the time.

Hennen's

We went to Hennen's in downtown Chattanooga. It was a Saturday night. The calamari came with sauce; I think it was spicy with the sauce. The sauce was a light tartar sauce (made without mayonaise) and I like it without the sauce better.

Cheese plate! The cheese plate was awesome! There were three kinds of cheese; one was a cheddar from Ireland; another was from France; and the third was from Italy. One tasted good, another was damp, and the third was nice. They were served with a fig jelly (compote) and bread. I ate the cheeses by themselves and with the bread and the jelly. I liked it both ways.

For dinner, I had a cheeseburger and fancy pasta. The pasta was cheese tortellini and it was cheesy. The burger was juicy and tender.

For dessert, we all shared each other's dish. The choices were the volcano chocolate cake and bread pudding. My dad and my brother had the bread pudding and they enjoyed it very much so. My mom and I had the volcano chocolate cake. The cake had chocolate sauce inside it and was served with strawberries and vanilla ice cream. One way I ate the cake was with all three foods together. Another way I ate it was with just the ice cream; the last way I tried the cake was by itself. The taste was good all together with the warm and cold. The cake was good all by itself.
