Riverside Foodworks
On Friday, my parents, my brother, and I went to http://www.riversidefoodworks.com/ for dinner. I had been there before but it had a long time. We just walked right in & they seated us right away. For an appetizer, we had the Food Works Chips and dip. It is made of home made sweet potato chips and blue cheese fondue. It took a few tries until I liked it but then I liked it. I do not like the chips alone but with the fondue, it is good. After we ordered, I drew the blue star, yellow star, white star, and red star while waiting for my meal to arrive. I learned about the stars in school and drew them to tell my parents about them. The blue star is actually the hotter than the white star. I had pizza for my meal. It was good! I tried the bacon wrapped quail that Dad had and a bit of Mom's Filet. They were both good! The quail also had stuffing, like what you would find in a turkey. Dad shared his aspargus with me. It was awesome! Trevor had the shrimp but I did not try his. I love shrimp--so does he because he ate it all! My mom & dad surprised Trevor and me, I can tell you that! For dessert, we shared a New York Style cheesecake with caramel sauce, whipped cream, and mint. We scarfed that down! It was the very best dessert that night. (it was the only one--mom) I think you should go to Riverside Foodworks. Bye now!

Cheeburger Cheeburger
On a recent Saturday, my family & I were downtown at Cheeburger Cheeburger. When I went there, they had Halloween decorations up. They have Bleu cheese, American cheese, and Swiss cheese. There are about ten cheeses on the menu but those are the ones I remember. There is a Kid's Club there that if you eat a half pound burger, they take your picture and put it on the Wall of Fame. That's what my brother & I ordered! Trevor had Swiss cheese & bacon while I ordered American cheese & bacon on mine. Mom & Dad also had burgers.
While we were waiting, we played Tic Tac Toe. There were also cards on the table with trivia questions that we answered when Mom asked.
When the food came out, I thought my food was spectacular! We shared onion rings and French fries. I ate my half pounder; so did Trevor. Our server introduced us to everyone in the restaurant. Then she put Cheeburger hats on us & took our picture. We thought we could keep the hats but we can't (they are for sale).
Next came our dessert. I had a strawberry ice cream with actual strawberries in it! Trevor had the same. Mom & Dad each a milk shake. Mom's was with Heath candy bar & Dad had a Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana shake. I think he might be a monkey.
It was fun & you should try Cheeburger Cheeburger and the half pounder!

Nana's Frozen Custard
http://nanasfrozencustard.com/
Nana's Frozen Custard is where you get ice cream. Nana's has so many ice creams that you would like to try. Some of the ice creams are named after local places.
You can have a banana split like I did or a root beer float like my Dad. Next time, I want to try a root beer float.
My brother got the Chester Frosty like always. Now he said "Chester Frosty!" just hearing about it. In the Chester Frosty, there are gummy rings and gummy bears in the blue ice cream. There is brown sugar for the sand (Chester Frost is a local park on the lake with a beach).
My mom had the Salty Grit. It is vanilla with pretzels and butterscotch. She said it is okay but not her favorite. The mix of the sweet and salty was okay, say 50 50.
The root beer float was BIG! He said it was awesome! Dad liked that they had IBC root beer and he also liked that it had vanilla ice cream.
For me, it was a banana split! I loved it! It was so nice and tender and good. There was a banana, cherry, vanilla, and chocolate custard. I love that whipped creme! Next I'll have the root beer float and the next trip after that, I will have the Salty Grit. (he's just has to behave to earn the trips now! Mom)

Broad Street Grille
It was a Sunday morning when we went to Broad Street Grille for brunch. I had a cheese roll (blintz--mom) with wild berry sauce. I had orange juice to drink. I also ate some eggs and bacon. Last, I had a strawberry yogurt.
For dessert, my brother and I shared a plate of cookies and brownies. I loved my dessert. I like to go there and eat all the time.

Hennen's
We went to Hennen's in downtown Chattanooga. It was a Saturday night. The calamari came with sauce; I think it was spicy with the sauce. The sauce was a light tartar sauce (made without mayonaise) and I like it without the sauce better.
Cheese plate! The cheese plate was awesome! There were three kinds of cheese; one was a cheddar from Ireland; another was from France; and the third was from Italy. One tasted good, another was damp, and the third was nice. They were served with a fig jelly (compote) and bread. I ate the cheeses by themselves and with the bread and the jelly. I liked it both ways.
For dinner, I had a cheeseburger and fancy pasta. The pasta was cheese tortellini and it was cheesy. The burger was juicy and tender.
For dessert, we all shared each other's dish. The choices were the volcano chocolate cake and bread pudding. My dad and my brother had the bread pudding and they enjoyed it very much so. My mom and I had the volcano chocolate cake. The cake had chocolate sauce inside it and was served with strawberries and vanilla ice cream. One way I ate the cake was with all three foods together. Another way I ate it was with just the ice cream; the last way I tried the cake was by itself. The taste was good all together with the warm and cold. The cake was good all by itself.
